What are Body Maps? PDF Print E-mail

Based on the original Longlife Project, the body mapping technique has been further developed into social support and educational tools.  In the workshops, participants trace the shape of their body and add information about the workings of the human body and HIV/AIDS.  The body map is used as a way to lead people through exercises that build a holistic understanding of HIV, including issues such as social support, nutrition and how to access and adhere to antiretroviral treatment.
